A 1990s Kitchen gets a Spotlight

This once-ordinary 1990s kitchen, with its dark cabinets and countertops, posed a challenge. The awkward layout made cooking a chore. But with a thoughtful redesign, this space has been completely transformed.

By strategically relocating the ovens and flipping the cooktop, a more efficient and enjoyable workflow was created. This new layout also allowed the incorporation of stylish storage solutions at every turn: by the refrigerator, in the corner, near the cooktop, and beside the sink.

Dark cabinetry was replaced with a lighter, more modern option, while the island retains a warm, period-appropriate stain. The dated countertops and backsplash were replaced with stunning quartz surfaces, featuring a waterfall edge on the island for added elegance.

A sleek, single-bowl sink replaced the old double-bowl model. The new gold faucet is not only beautiful but also highly functional, featuring touchless technology and three unique spray settings.

To enhance the lighting, recessed lights, under-cabinet lighting, and over-cabinet lighting, as well as a striking new fixture for the breakfast nook, were added. A large sliding glass door, replacing the old door and small windows, floods the space with natural light.

This beautifully redesigned kitchen is not only functional but also inviting. It's a space where families and friends can gather and create lasting memories.
