This busy family of 5 needed a kitchen that worked efficiently for them. A kitchen they could entertain guests in.
That is what they got!
The Subzero, Wolf, Cove appliance package includes a 48” built-in food preservation refrigerator, a 48” double oven range with 6 burners and a griddle and a Ventahood ventilation hood. A steam oven for healthy cooking, a coffee system fo the perfect cup at your fingertips, a drawer microwave tucked in the island, a Cove dishwasher with the 3rd rack and a beverage center and clear ice machine in the bar were also added. The 5’ Galley Sink is the centerpiece of the kitchen and an entertainers dream with 2 tiers and accessories galore to make any guest green with envy. A true workstation sink. The Galley Sink was paired with 2 Brizo Luxe Gold Odin Touch faucets, 2 soap dispensers and a disposer air switch. Touches of gold in the plumbing, hardware and lighting. This kitchen has it all!
Oh, but it doesn’t stop there!
The laundry room and mud room has everything a busy growing family could need. The laundry room has a desk and work station, IronAway system, large capacity washer and dryer on pedestals, a sink to get the stains out, and a DryAway rack tucked in the corner next to basket storage. The mudroom has a quartz countertop bench for durability and plenty of storage for school supplies as well as sports bags and gear.
The new Powder Bath has a new crisp white vanity with a beautiful blue tile accent wall.
And the fun keeps going!
The master bath, the son’s shower and the daughter’s bath were also remodeled.
All in soothing colors to calm mind a soul after a busy day.
I’m entering the kitchen into the Subzero International Kitchen Design Contest. What do you think? Do I have a shot?

This dreamy blue kitchen with medium wood tile floors, patterned tile backsplash and crisp white walls calms the soul. Uneven brick floors were pulled up and the wood look tile from the rest of the house was carried into the kitchen. The blotchy granite countertops were replaced with crisp white Quartz. The boring backsplash was updated with a beautiful pattern tile. The appliances were updated to beautiful and functional stainless-steel pieces. The new faucet is touchless. Great for cleaning up weigh a wave of the hand. The new lighting ties in with the flat black faucet and hardware. The new hardware has no pocket or cord hangers and is sized perfectly to the size of the door/drawer. The outdated arched cabinets were transformed into highly functional cabinetry for the way this client cooks. Specialty cabinets were added everywhere. A tall cabinet for step stool and apron storage next to the refrigerator. A wide cabinet for vertical storage of an abundance of cookie sheets was added. An amazing spice drawer was added. A platform trash bin next to the sink makes cleanup a breeze. The new beverage center with pocket doors so that coffee can be concealed or exposed with a ton of additional storage was added.
My favorite thing to do is create space without adding space. All this additional functional cabinet space in the same space she had to start.

Another dark kitchen sees the light! The dark countertops and backsplash replaced with Vicostone Elbert Quartz. The dark cabinets replaced with slab front white oak with sleek gold tab pulls. Their existing refrigerator, dishwasher and cooktop were reused. The double ovens (added the warming drawer) and downdraft ventilation were replaced. The double ovens were placed lower so that the client could use the top oven safely. Functional cabinetry was created to store more than the previous cabinets stored and made everything easier to access. All without enlarging the space or changing the footprint!

This kitchen wanted to lighten up! The dark countertops were replaced with these incredible Calacatta Solessio countertops. The closed in bar was opened into the family room. The refrigerator was moved, and a larger option was selected to allow better access from the dining room. The main island was designed with an under-counter refrigerator, wine refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, trash drawer and still had room for a bank of drawers. A drawer microwave was added to the prep island and an ice machine was added to the bar. The walls and cabinets were lightened to the beautiful Westhighland White. The wood floors were refinished to a beautiful medium color. These cabinets have lots of delicious details stretching all the way to the ceiling and continue to delight in areas where they were bumped out to add additional depth and dimension. The Carrera Marble with gold inlay backsplash is stunning and it is so beautiful running up to the ceiling behind that amazing hood and new larger rangetop. The new pantry includes cabinetry and rich wood countertop with electricity for countertop appliances and lighted shelving. Gold accents in plumbing, hardware, lighting, backsplash and even the appliances handles truly made this kitchen glamorous gold.

This is an amazing example of a kitchen refresh. This project started with medium stain oak cabinets with rope details on all the corners and along the crown. The walls had a lot of yellow undertones and the countertops were black with some copper and silver flecks.
The homeowners desired to lighten things up. The home's common areas were painted Accessible Beige to take out the yellow hues. The cabinets were painted a beautiful creamy white. The rope details were removed by beveling the corners and adding trim on the crown. Instead of the over the range microwave, we installed a Ventahood and a pot filler. The cabinet next to the sink was modified accommodate a drawer microwave. The dark countertops were replaced with this stunning MSI Calacatta Solessio Quartz. The new backsplash tile complements the new colors and the new cabinet beveled edges. The sink was changed to a single bowl sink and added the beautiful Kohler Artifacts faucet, and we added a Delta cup rinser. Isn’t that so fun and functional?
With this refresh we saved some cost by modifying trim on existing cabinets then painting the existing cabinets and by not disturbing the beautiful wood flooring.

Tiffany blue was what she wanted and that is what she got! The tub and shower were relocated. The wall between the bedroom and bathroom was added for privacy and to block light and sound. The bulky 3 sided fireplace was replaced with a new streamlined modern 2-sided fireplace with teal glass. The new freestanding tub offers a deck mounted tub filler and all the luxury you can handle. A bench and niches, a hand shower and a rain head were added in the shower. A towel warmer to warm and dry towels as well as provide radiant heat to the bathroom was installed. The awkward angles were straightened out lots of light was added! A pop of color in the closet highlights the new custom closet layout.
This master suite is now stunning and just what this couple needed to feel like they wake into a spa every morning!

All with the beautiful contrast of White Oak slab cabinets and Iron Ore framed cabinets. Gold and slate/black hardware, plumbing and lighting. Oh my gosh, that range - Beautiful! This master bath was updated by pulling down the peeling wallpaper, pulling out the big box tub, builder grade cabinets and enlarging the shower. Cabinet storage inserts were added in the two middle drawers. A freestanding tub and filler with its own niche replaced the big box tub. Two large niches in the shower and one small lower foot niche for shaving were added into the expanded shower. A shower head, a hand shower and 4 body sprays in the shower as well as the tile-in linear drain created the gold standard of luxury in this shower. Lighting was layered with recessed lighting, sconce lighting next to the mirrors and that gorgeous chandelier over the tub. Don’t forget that towel warmer giving you the luxury of a warm towel stepping out of the shower. Towel warmers not only warm your towel but dry them and provide radiant heat for the bathroom.
This bath is now calm and relaxing like a day at the spa.

This crowded kitchen needed creative cabinetry design. The corner "linen closet" pantry was removed and replaced with pantry cabinets with roll out drawers for accessibility. Most lower cabinets became drawers for easy access to items in the back. Specialty cabinets were added to give an abundance of storage and functionality. All cabinetry is full extension and soft close. Appliances were all replaced with new GE Cafe appliances. A new Silgranit sink and Kohler Bellera faucet with Sweep Spray were updated in the island. The Vicostone Azur de Mar countertop and Moonmist blue wall and ceiling paint mixed with the Snowbound white cabinets makes this kitchen a tranquil dream to use.
